Who can attend Workday Rising?

Workday Rising is open to current Workday customers, invited prospective customers, sponsoring partners, industry and financial analysts, members of the press, and Workday employees. If you would like to attend or have questions, use the links below to get in touch with us:

What does the Full Conference Pass include?

Which meals are hosted by the conference?
  • Monday: Welcome Reception (drinks and a light buffet)
  • Tuesday: breakfast bites, coffee breaks, and lunch
  • Wednesday: breakfast bites, coffee breaks, lunch, and the Customer Appreciation Party (drinks and a casual dinner buffet)
  • Thursday: breakfast bites, coffee breaks, and lunch
I’m on a tight budget—is there a discount available?

Customers may be eligible for one of our group discounts.

What are the guidelines for customer group discounts?

All registrants must be from the same organization, and all registrations must be completed and paid to qualify for the discounted conference pass. The discount does not apply to Preconference Training sessions or Enablement Workshops and cannot be combined with any other offers. This offer does not expire, so your organization can take advantage of it at any point before the conference.

How do I purchase a pass with the customer group discount?

Follow the steps below during the registration process to take advantage of the customer group discount:

  1. Select Customer on the registration landing page.
  2. Fill in the required registration information to get your Customer Full Conference Pass.
  3. Select the Group Discount Package under your Customer Full Conference Pass. If you need additional group passes, you can select the Additional Group Discount Package.
  4. Pay for your Customer Full Conference Pass and book your hotel room. Note: The other colleagues in your group will receive an invitation to register and book their hotel accommodations after you complete the purchase process for your individual conference pass.
  5. Follow the prompts to add the names and business email addresses for each of the colleagues in your group, and confirm that each person works for your organization. Select Continue once you’ve finished adding the colleagues in your group.
  6. Your colleagues will automatically receive an email with instructions on how to register for their conference passes. Note: Each person must go through the registration process to receive their conference pass as well as to book their hotel room, even if their pass has already been paid for at the group discount rate.
Do I have to add the names of my colleagues for the customer group discount now?

No. You can add names to your Group Discount Package later by logging into My Account.

What if I invited someone who I now need to remove from the Group Discount Package?

If you have already invited someone and need to remove them from the system, contact us directly at risingregistration@workday.events directly.

Do I have to purchase the Group Discount Package now?

No. You can add the Group Discount Package to your registration later by logging into My Account.

How do my colleagues know I purchased their Full Conference Pass through the Group Discount Package?

During the registration process, you provided the names and email addresses of the colleagues that are included in your Group Discount Package. Each person will receive an email inviting them to register and book their accommodations.

Will my receipt show that I purchased the Group Discount Package?

Yes.

If I purchase the Group Discount Package, do I also get the discounted Full Conference Pass?

Yes. The individual that purchases the package also receives the discounted rate. All group passes receive the same conference benefits and access.

Can I take advantage of the customer group discount and the Early Bird rate?

Yes, if you purchase the Group Discount Package during the Early Bird period (June 25–August 20, at 5:00 p.m. PT) you can combine the group discount and Early Bird rates.

Is this the only way to get the customer group discount?

Yes, this is the only process for taking advantage of the group discount rate.

Can I bring a guest?

You are welcome to bring a guest to the Customer Appreciation Party on Wednesday night by purchasing a Guest Party Pass during the registration process. The $250 pass includes transportation, food, beverages, and entertainment. Guests must be 21+ and present a valid ID. Guests are not permitted to other functions or public areas of the conference. If you already registered, log in to My Account to add a Guest Party Pass.

How do I make changes to my registration information?

Log in to My Account at any time to make changes to your registration or hotel information.

What if I am no longer able to attend?

All registration cancellations must be received in writing. Email your cancellation notice to the Workday Rising team.

    Conference Registration Cancellation
  • For cancellation emails received before 12:00 p.m. (PT) on September 20, 2019, you will receive a refund, minus a $150 administration fee. The administration fee applies to all Workday Rising conference registration types.
  • For cancellation emails received between 12:01 p.m. (PT) on September 20, 2019, and 12:00 p.m. (PT) on October 11, 2019, you will receive a refund, minus a cancellation fee of 50 percent of your registration fee.
  • For cancellation emails received after 12:01 p.m. (PT) on October 11, 2019, no refunds will be issued.

If I am no longer able to attend, may I substitute someone from within my organization?

Yes, you may transfer your registration to another person within your organization. Email the Workday Rising team with the names, titles, and email addresses of both the original and substitute registrants by 12:00 p.m. (PT) on September 20, 2019. Substitutions may not be granted after this date. Credits are not issued for a future Workday Rising program.

Hotels

Are there discounted hotel rates for Workday Rising?

Do the hotels offer complimentary Wi-Fi?

Yes, all our official conference hotels provide free Wi-Fi.

Do the hotels charge a resort fee?

Some of our official conference hotels charge a daily resort fee in addition to the room rates to cover things such as on-site amenities and free Wi-Fi. The following hotels charge a resort fee:

Will the Workday Rising team make my hotel reservation?

Due to the proximity of the event, you are responsible for making your hotel reservation. You must book your room through the registration tool.

Do I need to make my hotel reservation when I register for the conference?

Do the hotels offer rooms on the nights before and after the conference dates?

I’m not quite ready to register for Workday Rising, but can I book my hotel?

No. In order to take advantage of the discounted room rates, you must be registered for the conference.

Can I contact the hotel directly to make a reservation or make changes to my reservation?

If I enter special requests during my hotel booking process, are the requests guaranteed?

Although the hotels do their best to accommodate all special requests, unfortunately, they cannot issue any guarantees.

How do I cancel or change my hotel reservation?

What happens if I do not check in on my scheduled arrival date?

If you do not check in on your scheduled arrival date, the hotel will cancel your entire reservation and can opt not to reinstate your reservation, even if you arrive the next day. You will also be charged a penalty equal to one night (including tax), regardless of the hotel opting to reinstate your reservation or not. If you think you will not be able to check in on your scheduled arrival date, email the Workday Rising team or call +1-866-254-9187 (U.S. and Canada) or +1-650-416-8874 (international).

On-Site Logistics

Where is the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC)?

The Orange County Convention Center is located at 9899 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819.

Which airport should I fly into?

Major airlines provide air travel into Orlando International Airport (MCO), which is located about 13 miles from the Orange County Convention Center.

Will transportation be provided to and from the airport?

No, transportation will not be provided to or from the airport; however, you can purchase transportation services at the airport.

Will transportation be provided between the Orange County Convention Center and official conference hotels?

Yes, shuttle service will be provided to and from conference hotels (unless they are within walking distance) and the Orange County Convention Center. The schedule will be available in the mobile app before the conference begins.

Is there parking available at the Orange County Convention Center?

Yes, parking is available for $17 per day at the North and South lots. In addition, there is free parking at the destination lot and a free shuttle between the destination lot and the North and South Building. You can get more details about parking here.

What on-site services or accommodations are available?

What is typical October weather in Orlando?

Average October weather in Orlando ranges from the high 60s to the mid-80s. Bring layers of clothing to accommodate warm days and potentially cooler evenings. There is a chance of rain; however, the Customer Appreciation Party takes place outside at Universal Studios Florida™, rain or shine.

Is there a dress code for the conference?

The dress code is business casual. We do not host any formal business or social networking functions. While we do our best to control the temperature in session rooms, we recommend you bring a removable layer for your comfort.

Are there discounts available for local theme parks and dining?

Yes. Visit Orlando is offering Workday Rising attendees discounts to local theme parks, dining, and other entertainment. Note: By clicking this link, you will be taken to a third-party website owned by Visit Orlando.

Registration Policies

What is the substitution policy?

If you are no longer able to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. Email the Workday Rising team with the names, titles, and email addresses of both the original and substitute registrants by 12:00 p.m. (PT) on September 20, 2019. Substitutions may not be granted after this date. Credits are not issued for a future Workday Rising program.

What are the cancellation policies?

Preconference Training/Enablement Workshop Cancellation

  • For cancellation emails received before 12:00 p.m. (PT) on October 11, 2019, you will pay a $150 cancellation fee.
  • For cancellation emails received after 12:01 p.m. (PT) on October 11, 2019, no refunds will be issued.

Guest Party Pass Cancellation

  • For cancellation emails received before 12:00 p.m. (PT) on October 11, 2019, you will receive a refund, minus a cancellation fee of 50 percent.
  • For cancellation emails received after 12:01 p.m. (PT) on October 11, 2019, no refunds will be issued.
  • All passes purchased on-site are considered final sale.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

Hotel cancellations must be made five (5) days prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid a penalty equal to one night’s room and tax. Cancellation or changes to hotel reservations are the sole responsibility of the attendee. If you do not check in on your scheduled hotel arrival date, the remainder of your reservation will be cancelled, and your credit card will be charged a penalty equal to one night’s room and tax.

What are the policies for prospective customers?

Prospective customer attendance at Workday Rising is by invitation only. Registration is limited to the following number of participants per organization:

> 25,000 employees 8 attendees


Organizations evaluating Workday may only attend one conference as a prospective customer. Repeat attendance is not allowed unless the company has become a Workday customer.
