Who can attend Workday Rising Europe?

Workday Rising Europe is open to current Workday customers, invited prospective customers, sponsoring partners, industry analysts, members of the press and Workday employees. If you would like to attend or have questions, use the links below to get in touch with us:

What does the Full Conference Pass include?

    For current customers

Which meals are hosted by the conference?
  • Tuesday: Welcome Reception (drinks and a light buffet)
  • Wednesday: continental breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch
  • Thursday: continental breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch and the Customer Appreciation Party (drinks and a casual dinner buffet)
I’m on a tight budget – is there a discount available?

Customers may be eligible for the group discount.

What are the guidelines for customer group discounts?

All registrants must be from the same organisation, and all registrations must be completed and paid to qualify for the discounted conference pass. The discount doesn’t apply to Pre-conference Training sessions or Enablement Workshops and can’t be combined with any other offers. This offer doesn’t expire, so your organisation can take advantage of it at any point before the conference.

How do I purchase a pass with the customer group discount?

Follow the steps below during the registration process to take advantage of the customer group discount:

  1. Select Customer on the registration landing page.
  2. Fill in the required registration information to get your Customer Full Conference Pass.
  3. Select the Group Discount Package under your Customer Full Conference Pass. If you need additional group passes, you can select the Additional Group Discount Package.
  4. Pay for your Customer Full Conference Pass and book your hotel room. Note: The other colleagues in your group will receive an invitation to register and book their hotel accommodation after you complete the purchase process for your individual conference pass.
  5. Follow the prompts to add the names and business email addresses for each colleague in your group, and confirm each person works for your organisation. Select Continue once you’ve finished adding the colleagues in your group.
  6. Your colleagues will automatically receive an email with instructions on how to register for their conference passes. Note: Each person must go through the registration process to receive their conference pass as well as to book their hotel room, even if their pass has already been paid for at the group discount rate.
Do I have to add the names of my colleagues for the customer group discount now?

No. You can add names to your Group Discount Package later by logging into My Account.

What if I invited someone who I now need to remove from the Group Discount Package?

If you have already invited someone and need to remove them from the system, contact us at risingeuroperegistration@workday.events.

Do I have to purchase the Group Discount Package now?

No. You can add the Group Discount Package to your registration later by logging into My Account.

How do my colleagues know I purchased their Full Conference Pass through the Group Discount Package?

During the registration process, you provided the names and email addresses of the colleagues included in your Group Discount Package. Each person will receive an email inviting them to register and book their accommodation.

Will my receipt show that I purchased the Group Discount Package?

Yes.

If I purchase the Group Discount Package, do I also get the discounted Full Conference Pass?

Yes. The individual who purchases the package also receives the discounted rate. All group passes receive the same conference benefits and access.

Can I take advantage of the customer group discount and the Early Bird rate?

Yes, if you purchase the Group Discount Package during the Early Bird period (10 July–24 September at 17:00 CET) you can combine the group discount and Early Bird rates.

Is this the only way to get the customer group discount?

Yes, this is the only process for taking advantage of the group discount rate.

How do I make changes to my registration information?

Log in to My Account at any time to make changes to your registration or hotel information.

What if I’m no longer able to attend?

All registration cancellations must be received in writing. Email your cancellation notice to the Workday Rising Europe team.

    Conference registration cancellation
  • For cancellation emails received before 12:00 (CET) on 31 October 2019, you will receive a refund, minus a 150 € administration fee. The administration fee applies to all Workday Rising Europe conference registration types.
  • For cancellation emails received between 12:01 (CET) on 31 October 2019, and 12:00 (CET) on 8 November 2019, you will receive a refund, minus a cancellation fee of 50 percent of your conference registration fee.
  • For cancellation emails received after 12:01 (CET) on 8 November 2019, no refunds will be issued.

If I’m no longer able to attend, can I substitute someone from my organisation?

Yes, you may transfer your registration to another person. Email the Workday Rising Europe team with the names, titles and email addresses of both the original and substitute registrants by 12:00 (CET) on Friday 8 November 2019. Substitutions may not be granted after this date. Credits are not issued for a future Workday Rising Europe programme.

Hotels

Are there discounted hotel rates for Workday Rising Europe?

We’ve negotiated exceptional rates for attendees at our official conference hotels. Book your room through the registration tool as soon as possible to take advantage of the discounted rates. Rooms and rates are subject to availability. All discounted hotel rates include breakfast, but exclude VAT and city tax unless stated.

How long are the discounted hotel rates guaranteed?

We’ve negotiated exceptional rates for attendees at our official conference hotels. Book your room through the registration tool as soon as possible to take advantage of the discounted rates. Rooms and rates are subject to availability.

Do the hotels offer complimentary Wi-Fi?

Yes, all our official conference hotels provide free Wi-Fi.

Do the hotels offer complimentary breakfast?

Yes, all our official conference hotels provide complimentary breakfast to guests.

What is the current VAT?

The current VAT on single occupancy accommodations is 10%.

Are there additional taxes?

Yes, an additional city tax charge of 4–5 € per person/per night will be added by the hotel and is to be settled on departure.

Will the Workday Rising Europe team make my hotel reservation?

No, you’re responsible for making your hotel reservation. You can book your hotel through the online registration tool.

Do I need to make my hotel reservation when I register for the conference?

Yes, you can book your hotel through the online registration tool.

I’m not quite ready to register for Workday Rising Europe, but can I book my hotel?

No. We’ve negotiated exceptional rates for attendees at our official conference hotels. Book your room through the registration tool as soon as possible to take advantage of the discounted rates. Rooms and rates are subject to availability.

Can I contact the hotel directly to make a reservation or make changes to my reservation?

No. All new reservations and changes must be made by logging in to My Account and selecting Make Hotel Reservation or Edit My Hotel Reservation.

If I enter special requests during my hotel booking process, are the requests guaranteed?

Although the hotels do their best to accommodate all special requests, unfortunately, they can’t issue any guarantees.

How do I cancel or change my hotel reservation?

To make changes to your hotel reservation, log in to My Account, then select Edit My Hotel Reservation. Hotel bookings cancelled before 16:00 (CET) on Wednesday 23 October 2019 can be cancelled free of charge. If you have questions, email the Workday Rising Europe team.

What happens if I don’t check in on my scheduled arrival date?

If you don’t check in on your scheduled arrival date, the hotel will cancel your entire reservation and can opt not to reinstate your reservation, even if you arrive the next day. You will also be charged a penalty equal to one night (including tax), regardless of the hotel opting to reinstate your reservation or not. If you think you won’t be able to check in on your scheduled arrival date, email the Workday Rising Europe team or call the Contact Centre at +44 203 868 5239 between the hours of 09:00–18:00. Please don’t contact the hotel directly.

On-Site Logistics

Where is the Milano Convention Centre (MiCo)?

The Milano Convention Centre is located at Piazzale Carlo Magno, 1 – 20149 Milano, Italy.

Which airport should I fly into?

Major airlines provide air travel into Milano Linate Airport (LIN), which is located about 11 kilometers (km) from the Milano Convention Centre (MiCo).

Will transport be provided to and from the airport?

No, transport won’t be provided by Workday to or from the airport, but you can buy transport services at the airport or pre-book transfers via First Travel Italy.

What is First Travel Italy?

First Travel Italy is a third-party transport company focused on passenger transport to and from any destination in Italy. First Travel Italy is not a Workday company and has not been contracted by Workday to provide transport services for the conference. Workday is not responsible nor do we guarantee First Travel Italy services. By clicking First Travel Italy, you will be taken to their company website and will be conducting business directly with them. First Travel Italy’s privacy policy can be found here.

Will transport be provided between the Milano Convention Centre and official conference hotels?

If you’ve booked your hotel via the Workday Rising Europe registration site, and are staying in one of the following official conference hotels not within walking distance, you’ll receive a complimentary Milan Metro Card to use on public transport when you pick up your badge at the Milano Convention Centre:

Yes, parking is available at the Milano Convention Centre.

What is the typical November weather in Milan?

Average November weather in Milan ranges from a high of 11° C to a low of 6° C. Bring layers of clothing to accommodate the changing weather.

Is there a dress code for the conference?

The dress code is business casual. We do not host any formal business or social networking functions. While we do our best to control the temperature in session rooms, we recommend you bring a removable layer for your comfort.

Registration Policies

What is the substitution policy?

If you’re no longer able to attend, you can transfer your registration to another person. Hotel cancellation policy

Hotel cancellations must be made five (5) days prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid a penalty equal to one night’s room and tax. Cancellation or changes to hotel reservations are the sole responsibility of the attendee. If you don’t check in on your scheduled hotel arrival date, the remainder of your reservation will be cancelled, and your credit card will be charged a penalty equal to one night’s room and tax.

What are the policies for prospective customers?

Prospective customer attendance at Workday Rising Europe is by invitation only, limited to two participants per organisation.

Organisations evaluating Workday may only attend one conference as a prospective customer. Repeat attendance isn’t allowed unless the company has become a Workday customer.
