Note: You will only receive the negotiated rates by booking through our online registration tool. Major airlines provide air travel into both Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Chicago Midway (MDW) airports. Cab service is available for transportation to area hotels, and daily shuttle service will be provided from the hotels to McCormick Place West.

The following meals are hosted by the Workday Rising prospective customer program:

  • Wednesday: Grab n’ Go Breakfast, Coffee Breaks, and Lunch.
May I bring a guest?

Guests are not admitted to any function or public area of the conference. This includes hosted meals, keynotes, breakout sessions, and the Innovation Exchange Expo. You may work with your hotel concierge service to book activities during the day for your guest.

Why are prospective customers at the conference?

We invite a select number of qualified prospective customers to our conference so they can learn about Workday from our customers and sponsoring partners and get a sneak peek into what being part of the community is all about.

Am I allowed to attend the full conference?

The prospective customer program will take place Monday afternoon through midday Wednesday (September 26–28). On Monday, prospective customers will attend Customer Reference Conversations, Workday Rising Kickoff Keynote, and the Welcome Reception in the Innovation Exchange Expo. On Tuesday, prospective customers will attend the Workday Executive Keynote followed by sessions on a variety of topics and a Prospective Customer Reception. On Wednesday, prospective customers will attend the Workday Customer Keynote and additional sessions. The prospective customer program concludes after lunch on Wednesday.

Are there penalties for cancelling my event registration?

All registration cancellations must be received in writing. Email the prospective customer team to receive a refund, minus a $150 processing fee.

How do I make changes to my registration information?

You may log in to My Account at any time to make changes to your registration or hotel information.

If I cannot attend, may I substitute someone from my organization?

If you are unable to attend the conference, you may transfer your registration to another person. Email the prospective customer team with the names, titles, and email addresses of both the original and substitute registrants by 12:00 p.m. (PT) on September 12, 2016. Substitutions may not be granted after this date. Credits are not issued for future Workday Rising conferences.

Hotel
Are there discounted hotel rates for Workday Rising?

Workday has negotiated exceptional rates at our collection of official conference hotels—you'll receive big savings during a peak travel season for this popular destination city. All discounted hotel rates exclude tax (currently 17.4 percent) but include complimentary in-room internet access. Discounted hotel rates for Workday Rising attendees are guaranteed through September 6, 2016, based on hotel availability.

Will the Workday Rising Team make my hotel reservation?

No. The Workday Rising Team will not arrange hotel reservations for you. You can book your accommodations through the online tool when you register or by logging in to My Account after you have registered. We can only ensure room availability and rates for rooms booked through the online tool by September 6. Please do not contact the hotel directly. If you have questions, email the Workday Rising team.

Can I add a hotel reservation if I did not book during the event registration process?

Yes. To add a hotel reservation, go to My Account and select Book My Hotel.

How can I cancel or change my hotel reservation?

To make changes to your hotel reservation, go to My Account, then select Edit My Hotel Reservation. Hotel cancellations must be made five (5) days prior to the scheduled arrival date to avoid a penalty equal to one night (including tax). Cancellation or change of hotel reservations is the sole responsibility of the attendee. Please do not contact the hotel directly. If you have questions, email the Workday Rising team.

What is the last date the Workday Rising negotiated hotel room rates are guaranteed?

Workday Rising hotel rates are guaranteed through September 6, based on hotel availability. Hotels are offered on a real-time inventory system, so only available rooms will be listed during your booking process. After September 6, rates and room availability will be determined by each hotel.

What happens if I do not check in on my scheduled arrival date?

If you do not check in on your scheduled arrival date, the hotel will cancel your entire reservation and can opt not to reinstate your reservation, even if you arrive the next day. You will also be charged a penalty equal to one night (including tax), regardless of the hotel opting to reinstate your reservation or not. If you think you will not be able to check in on your scheduled arrival date, email the Workday Rising team or call (866) 254-9187 (U.S. and Canada) or (650) 416-8874 (international).

If I am not ready to register for Workday Rising, but would like to book my hotel, may I do so?

In order to take advantage of the Workday Rising discounted room rates, you must be fully registered for the conference.

Can I contact the hotel directly to make a hotel reservation or changes to my reservation?

All new reservations and changes must be made by logging in to My Account and selecting Book My Hotel or Edit My Hotel Reservation. Please do not contact the hotel directly. For questions related to your hotel registration, email the Workday Rising team.

If I enter special requests during my hotel booking process, are the requests guaranteed?

Although the hotels will do their best to accommodate all special requests, they unfortunately are not guaranteed.

Where is McCormick Place West?

McCormick Place West is located at 2301 S. King Dr., Chicago, Illinois 60616.

Which airport should I fly into?

Major airlines provide air travel into both Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Chicago Midway (MDW) airports, which are 23 miles and 11.5 miles from McCormick Place West, respectively. Cab service is available for transportation to hotels and McCormick Place West. Cancellation or change of travel reservations is the sole responsibility of the attendee.

Will transportation be provided to and from the airports?

Transportation will not be provided to or from the airports. Cab rates from the airport to McCormick Place West average $35 before fees and tip.

Will transportation be provided between McCormick Place West and the official conference hotels?

Yes, shuttles will be provided between official conference hotels and McCormick Place West. If you choose to stay at a hotel that’s not one of the listed conference hotels, you will need to arrange your own transportation.

What is the typical weather in late September in Chicago?

Average September weather in Chicago ranges from daytime highs between 60°F and 70°F; expect evening temperatures of 50°F or so. Bring layers of clothing to accommodate warmer days and cooler evenings.

Is there a dress code for the conference?

The dress code for Workday Rising is business casual. We do not host any formal business or social networking functions. While we do our best to control the temperature in session rooms, we recommend you bring a removable layer for your comfort.
