Check out our specialized Workday Rising pre-conference training program. On Monday, September 9, you will receive four hours of hands-on training on topics not covered in our standard training program.

Workday Report Writer

This instructor-led class will teach you how to build, share, and schedule custom reports and Worklets. Through a series of presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, you will learn how to confidently create custom reports for deployment throughout your organization.

Advanced Business Process

Attend this session to learn how to use the Business Process Framework to simplify and standardize processing within Workday. Discover how to maximize the use of conditional validations, condition rules, notifications, and alerts.

Introduction to Workday Studio

Workday Studio is not limited to one data source, one transformation, and one destination. Instead, it can be used to create integrations that use several reports and Workday Web Services (WWS) as well as several transformations. The results are then delivered to several destinations. In this session, you will engage in hands-on activities that will teach you how to develop sophisticated integrations using Workday’s most powerful integration technology. Prerequisites: Workday Report Writer and Workday Simple Integrations.

Year-End Payroll Process

Are you interested in looking at Workday’s year-end payroll process from start to finish? Through presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, this course will take you from loading your data through the use of the Enterprise Integration Builder (EIB).

Absence and Leave

This session will cover the fundamentals of absence setup and administration. You will learn the core concepts of Workday Absence Management and how to administer time-off and leave plans.

Workday Simple Integrations

Attend this session to learn how to build and launch an integration that extracts data out of Workday and sends it to an external system. We will discuss different template models with the different functional areas and how to generate, customize, and populate those templates for inbound transactions.

Advanced Compensation: Consolidated Merit

This hands-on session will get you up-to-date on the 2013 changes to the consolidated merit process. We will also review the rounding rules and coordination of events with the merit process.

Workday Calculated Fields

Unleash the power of Workday’s Calculated Fields. Through hands-on activities and demonstrations, you will learn how to develop rich, customized reports using simple field configurations without any necessary coding or programming. Prerequisite: Workday Report Writer.

Financial Reporting and Analytics

Do you need a way to monitor and report on revenue and expenses in your organization? This instructor-led course will give you an overview of the different types of financial reporting available in Workday. You will learn how to create financial statements using condition rules, produce manager reports and metrics, maximize report writer options, and utilize common financial calculated fields.

Year-End Payroll Process

Performance Management

Do you want to leverage Workday Performance Management to get the most out of employee performance reviews? You will also receive a supplemental guide that will help you fully understand the suggested configurations for Performance Business Processes.

Workday Report Designer

Workday enables you to design and use business-form layouts to meet the exact specifications required by your organization. These specifications might include rich-text formatting, headers and footers, page breaks, and exact placement of labels, data, spaces, margins, and more. Workday Report Designer is an easy-to-use, graphical layout tool designed specifically for this purpose. Through a serious of lecture, demos, and hands-on activities, you will learn how to connect to your Workday tenant to use your reports in the Report Designer. In addition, we will examine how to bring output into the layout and formatting features. Prerequisite: Workday Report Writer.

Enablement Workshops

Take advantage of our enablement workshops designed specifically for Workday Rising. The first half of the 8-hour workshop will be highly interactive, with demos, tips and tricks, configuration guides, and more. In the second part of the day, you will have the opportunity to configure the functionality in your sandbox tenant with assistance from two Customer Enablement Solution Architects.

The cost for a one-day workshop is $650. Given the limited number of seats available (18 per session) – these events are limited to (2) seats per customer company. These sessions sold out quickly last year and walk-in registrations are not available, so register early.

Job Change Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn all about the new, improved functionality of manager self-service. The workshop will address security, task orchestration, condition rules, business-process framework, and recommended approaches for changing from the current process to the new Job Change. We will also discuss other UI enhancements designed for the manager and ideas on how to communicate the functionality of this new UI to your users.

Talent Management (Core) Workshop

This workshop covers all of the talent fundamentals in Workday, including foundational data needed for configuration, professional profile, skills and experience, talent review, assessing potential, talent matrix (9-box), an introduction to calibration, anytime feedback, find workers, talent pools, success planning, and the Workday talent roadmap.

Business Process Optimization Workshop

This unique workshop is new for 2013 and focuses on optimizing the Business Process Framework. We will start the workshop with a review of the foundations of the Workday Business Process Framework, tips and tricks for optimizing business processes, and recommended approaches for ongoing monitoring and maintenance of your business processes.
