What value will my company find in attending Workday Rising?
While we can't put a specific value on sessions, we think the information gained throughout the Workday Rising sessions are worth the price of admission alone. Workday Rising offers so many one-of-a-kind learning opportunities and chances to learn from Workday experts and like-minded customers that the perspectives and resources you'll take back to your organization will surely deliver an outstanding return on your conference investment. What does my registration fee cover?
The full conference registration fee includes access to all sessions, the Partner & Product Expo, Welcome Reception, Customer Appreciation Party, and all hosted meals. Travel and hotel costs are the responsibility of the attendee. View Total Cost of Program Here.
I’m on a tight budget. What kinds of Discount Programs are Available?
Besides the Super Saver and Early Bird registration discount periods, you may be eligible for other registration discounts such as Not-for-Profit, “Send 5, Get 1 Free”, or the 5 Year Anniversary Discount. Click here for a summary of available discounts and eligibility requirements.
What meals are hosted by the conference?
The conference will include the following meals:
- Hors d’oeuvres reception on Monday evening
- Full breakfast, break snacks, and a full lunch on Tuesday
- Full breakfast, break snacks, a full lunch, and a casual dinner buffet on Wednesday
- Full breakfast and box lunches on Thursday
May I bring a guest?
Each registered conference attendee is allowed to bring one (1) guest to the Customer Appreciation Event on Wednesday evening for $200. Your guest must be +21 years of age, no exceptions. You may register your guest during the conference registration process. Guests are not admitted to hosted meal functions, keynote presentations, or sessions. You may work with concierge services to book activities during the day for your guest.
How will I know when the program schedule is available so I can register for pre-conference training courses and for specific Workday Rising sessions?
Announcements will be provided through the Workday Community and via emails from Workday Rising informing registered attendees once the full program is available for scheduling.
How can I get involved as a speaker?
The Call for Presentations is now closed. If you submitted a session idea, Workday will review all submissions and notify customers if they've been accepted by the first of August. For questions regarding the agenda, please contact conference@workday.com.
How many attendees are expected at this year’s Workday Rising?
With our ever-growing customer base, Workday Rising has been rapidly growing each year, too. This year’s conference is expected to see over 1,000 attendees—an increase of 43% attendees from Workday Rising 2010. And the programming keeps getting better and better thanks to customer feedback.
Why are Prospective Customers at the conference?
We invite qualified prospective customers to our conference so they can experience the buzz and learn as much as possible about Workday from our customers and partners. The Prospective Customer program will take place only on Monday night and Tuesday. On Tuesday, prospective customers will attend the morning keynote followed by a special track of sessions designed separately from the Workday Rising customer tracks. All Prospective Customer program attendees will have a chance to meet and mingle at our Welcome Reception, during breaks, and at the Partner & Product Expo.
Are there penalties for cancelling my registration?
Should you need to cancel your conference registration, you may do so at any time before the conference begins for a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. This processing fee applies to all Workday Rising registrations. Cancellations must be made in writing by Friday, October 14, 2011, via email to registration2011@workdayrisingregistration.com.
How can I cancel or change my hotel reservation?
Please call 702.590.7757 or 866.359.7757 (toll free). All cancellations require 48 business hour notice.
If I cannot attend, may I substitute someone from my organization?
If you are not able to attend, you may substitute another person from your company at no additional charge. Substitutions must be made in writing to registration2011@workdayrisingregistration.com with the names of the original and substitute registrant.
Are there other hotel options associated with Workday Rising?
Workday has negotiated a very good rate at the ARIA Resort. We encourage you to take advantage of this special Workday Rising rate to save on your expenses and to make it easier on yourself for getting to and from the conference. The elevators to the Workday Rising sleeping room block are less than 5 minutes from the conference area and meal room. Workday’s rate at ARIA Resort includes free wireless in your hotel room, in-room local and toll-free calls, fitness center access, daily newspaper, and airline boarding pass printing.
What airport do I fly into?
Commercial airlines operate out of the Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS). Major airlines include:
Will transportation be provided to and from the ARIA Resort?
Transportation will not be provided to and from the ARIA Resort. Las Vegas and the McCarran Airport have an expansive system for taxicabs. Travel from Las Vegas McCarran International Airport is approximately 15 minutes and costs approximately $15.00. For your return trip to the airport, we highly recommend departure from the ARIA Resort at least 2 hours before your flight, as the airport is known to have consistently long security lines.
What is the typical weather in October in Las Vegas?
Average temperatures in Las Vegas during October range from highs in the lower 80s, and lows to the mid-50s.
Is there a dress code for the conference?
The dress code for Workday Rising is business casual. We do not host any formal business or social networking functions. While we do our best in controlling the temperature in session rooms, we recommend you bring a removable layer for your comfort.
