Philips—Henrik Ranzau Hansen, Global Head of HR Services and Solutions
Henrik Ranzau Hansen, global head of HR Services and Solutions at Philips, will share the company’s journey to Workday starting from evaluation through deployment and post go-live. Philips is headquartered in Amsterdam, with more than 105,000 employees in over 100 countries. Its primary divisions focus on the healthcare, electronics, and lighting sectors. Founded in 1891 by Gerard Philips and his father Frederik, the company has experienced major change in the last few years with the separation of its Philips Lighting division. Henrik has described this separation as, “We needed to change fast and be agile to address the business opportunities in front of us. With one unified system, Workday enabled us to prepare for the separation into two focused companies and set each one up for profitable growth ahead.” In 2014, it deployed Workday Human Capital Management and onboarding as phase 1 of its Workday project; in phase 2, the company deployed succession planning, performance management, and goal management capabilities as part of Workday Talent Management. In 2015, Philips deployed Workday Absence Management and Workday Compensation, and plans to deploy Workday Recruiting and additional compensation functionality in 2016.
IMC—Timothy Hall, Global Head of Group Projects and Systems
Timothy Hall, global head of Group Projects and Systems at IMC, will discuss the value the company has experienced by moving to a unified suite of Workday applications. In 2013, IMC went live on Workday Human Capital Management, Workday Financial Management, Workday Expenses, and Workday Procurement, and began utilising functionalities for asset and contract management. As a technology-driven trading firm, IMC’s core market-making business provides liquidity in securities across all major asset classes on more than 100 exchanges worldwide. Founded in Amsterdam in 1989, the company has approximately 450 employees in 5 countries worldwide, manages 1 million trades per day, and is a designated market maker on the New York Stock Exchange.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch—Owain Morgan, Senior Vice President of Programs and Change Executive
Owain Morgan, senior vice president of Programs and Change Executive at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, will discuss how the company is using Workday to create competitive advantage through real-time talent management and an employee experience that matches that of its customers. Owain will share its transformation journey from business case to benefits realisation using Workday Human Capital Management, Workday Payroll, Workday Recruiting, and Workday Time Tracking. Bank of America Merrill Lynch is one of the largest banks in the U.S. and worldwide.
Swarovski—Oliver Kasper, Director of HR Process and Analytics
Oliver Kasper, director of HR Process and Analytics at Swarovski, will share the company’s journey with Workday. Swarovski selected Workday in April 2015 and will be going live on Workday Human Capital Management, Workday Recruiting, and Workday Time Tracking for retail, production, and back-office tasks. Swarovski designs, manufactures, and sells jewellery, high-quality crystals, genuine gemstones, created stones, and finished products such as accessories and lighting solutions. The company has 30,000 employees in more than 40 countries worldwide.
Avon Cosmetics—Patricia De La Fuente Fernández, Global HR Operations Excellence Manager
Patricia De La Fuente Fernández, global HR operations excellence manager at Avon, will share the company’s journey and its experience deploying Workday in EMEA. Avon selected Workday to execute growth platforms, drive simplification and efficiency, and improve organisational effectiveness. Avon is an international manufacturer and direct-selling company of beauty, household, and personal care products. It has more than 28,000 employees across the globe, and has recently moved its corporate headquarters from New York to London. Avon went live on Workday in 2014 with Workday Human Capital Management including Workday Compensation, Workday Talent Management, Workday Benefits, and Workday Absence Management. Note: This session will be given in Spanish.
Sanofi—Denis Sacré, Vice President of Human Resources Services and Workday Programme Director
Denis Sacré, vice president of Human Resources Services and Workday programme director at Sanofi, will share the company’s global Workday deployment experience. Sanofi is a global healthcare company, engaging in the research and development, manufacturing, and marketing of pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines. Sanofi went live on Workday Human Capital Management and Workday Talent Management in February 2015, and is also deploying Workday Absence Management, Workday Compensation, and Workday Recruiting in three phases across its global offices. The company is headquartered in Paris and has more than 110,000 employees in over 100 countries worldwide.
Sky Betting & Gaming—Karen Elenor, Transition Director
Karen Elenor, transition director at Sky Betting & Gaming, will share why the company moved to Workday. Sky Bet needed an end-to-end solution that could be deployed and adopted quickly by its workforce and provide a robust and agile ERP backbone to help drive the company forward as a standalone business. Through constant innovation, Sky Bet strives to be the best betting and gaming platform and aspires to be a leading digital business. It has 1,050 employees and 200 contingent workers in the UK and is growing every day. Sky Bet went live in just over six months on Workday Human Capital Management, Workday Payroll for the UK, Workday Recruiting, and Workday Financial Management in March 2016.
Workday Rising Europe 2016 is taking place at Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB) in Spain. We’ve negotiated great rates for you at our official conference hotels. Note: You will only receive the negotiated rates by booking through our online registration tool. Book your hotel as soon as you’ve registered, since rates are only guaranteed until 26 October 2016.

Major airlines provide air travel into the Barcelona—El Prat (BCN) airport. Taxi service is available for transportation to area hotels.
Note: The CCIB may also be known to taxi drivers as The Forum.

Guests are not admitted to any function or public area of the conference. This includes hosted meals, keynotes, breakout sessions, and the Innovation Exchange Expo. You may work with your hotel concierge service to book activities during the day for your guest.
We invite a select number of qualified prospective customers to our conference so they can learn about Workday from our customers and sponsoring partners and gain insight into what being part of the community is all about.
The Prospective Customer Programme will take place midday Tuesday until end of day Wednesday (15–16 November). On Tuesday, prospective customers will attend the View from the Cloud Panel, Customer Reference Conversations, the Workday Rising Kickoff Keynote, the Welcome Reception in the Innovation Exchange Expo, and the Prospective Customer dinner. On Wednesday, prospective customers will attend the Workday Executive Keynote followed by sessions on a variety of topics. After Wednesday, all content is dedicated to our customers and is not relevant for prospective customers.
There is no penalty to cancel your registration. Please email the prospective customer team to cancel your registration.
You may log in to My Account at any time to make changes to your registration or hotel information.
If you are unable to attend the conference, you may transfer your registration to another person. Email the prospective customer team with the names, titles, and email addresses of both the original and substitute registrants by 12:00 (GMT) on 7 November 2016. Substitutions may not be granted after this date.
Workday has negotiated exceptional rates at our collection of official conference hotels—you'll receive big savings for this popular destination city. All hotel room rates include breakfast and VAT but exclude city tax, which is payable directly on departure (€2.50 per night). Discounted hotel rates for Workday Rising Europe attendees are guaranteed through 26 October 2016, based on hotel availability.
No. The Workday Rising Europe team will not arrange hotel reservations for you. You can book your accommodations through the online tool when you register or by logging in to My Account after you have registered. We can only ensure room availability and rates for rooms booked through the online tool by 26 October. Please do not contact the hotel directly. If you have questions, email the Workday Rising Europe team.
Yes. To add a hotel reservation, go to My Account and select Book My Hotel.
To make changes to your hotel reservation, go to My Account, then select Edit My Hotel Reservation. Hotel cancellations must be made before 17:00 (GMT) on Monday, 10 October, to avoid any cancellation charges. Cancellations made after 17:00 (GMT) on 10 October will result in a charge of one night’s rate (including VAT). Cancellations made after 17:00 (GMT) on Wednesday, 26 October, will be charged the full amount of the reservation (including VAT). Cancellation or change of hotel reservations is the sole responsibility of the attendee. Please do not contact the hotel directly. If you have questions, email the Workday Rising Europe team.
Workday Rising Europe hotel rates are guaranteed until 26 October, based on hotel availability. Hotels are offered on a real-time inventory system, so only available rooms will be listed during your booking process. After 26 October, rates and room availability will be determined by each hotel.
If you do not check in on your scheduled arrival date, the hotel will cancel your entire reservation and can opt not to reinstate your reservation, even if you arrive the next day. You will also be charged in full for the entire duration of the stay (including VAT), regardless of the hotel opting to reinstate your reservation or not. If you believe you will not be able to check in on your scheduled arrival date, email the Workday Rising Europe team or call +44(0)208 879 2407.
In order to take advantage of the Workday Rising Europe discounted room rates, you must be fully registered for the conference.
Although the hotels will do their best to accommodate all special requests, they unfortunately are not guaranteed.
The CCIB is located at Pl. Willy Brandt, 11-14, 08019, Barcelona in Spain. It may also be known to some taxi drivers as The Forum.
Major airlines provide air travel into Barcelona—El Prat (BCN) airport in Spain, which is 17 km from the CCIB. Taxi service is available for transportation to hotels and the CCIB. Cancellation or change of travel reservations is the sole responsibility of the attendee.
Transportation will not be provided to or from the airport. Taxi rates from the airport to the CCIB average €30–€40 before fees and tip.
Yes, shuttles will be provided from official conference hotels that are not within walking distance. If you choose to stay at a hotel that’s not one of the listed conference hotels, you will need to arrange your own transportation.
In mid-November, weather in Barcelona ranges from 9°C to 18°C. Bring layers for your comfort.
The dress code for Workday Rising Europe is business casual. We do not host any formal business or social networking functions. While we do our best to control the temperature in session rooms, we recommend you bring a removable layer for your comfort.
