Event Registration
Who can attend Workday Rising Europe?

Workday Rising Europe is open to current Workday customers, sponsoring partners and invited prospective customers, analysts, employees, and members of the media.

If you are a prospective customer interested in attending the conference, please email the prospective customer team.

If you are a sponsoring partner, email the sponsoring partner team with any questions.

If you are an industry analyst, email the industry analyst relations team with any questions.

If you are a financial analyst, email the financial analyst relations team with any questions.

If you are a member of the media, email the public relations team with any questions.

What does my registration fee cover?

The full conference pass includes access to all keynotes and sessions, the Innovation Exchange Expo, the Welcome Reception, the Customer Appreciation Party, and all hosted meals noted in the agenda.

Travel and hotel costs are the responsibility of the attendee. Pre-Conference Training is not included in the conference registration fees.

I’m on a tight budget. Are there discount programmes available?

Besides the Early Bird registration savings, you may be eligible for a group discount.

What are the guidelines for the group discount?

All registrants must be from the same organisation, and all registrations must be completed and paid at the full conference rate to qualify for the discounted full conference pass. The discount does not apply to Pre-Conference Training. This discount cannot be combined with any other offers. This offer does not expire, so your organisation can take advantage of this discount at any point before the conference.

What meals are hosted by the conference?

The following meals are hosted:

  • Tuesday: Welcome Reception (drinks and a light buffet).
  • Wednesday: Light Breakfast, Coffee Breaks, and Lunch.
  • Thursday: Light Breakfast, Coffee Breaks, Lunch, and the Customer Appreciation Party (drinks and a casual dinner buffet).
May I bring a guest?

Guests are not admitted to any function or public area of the conference. This includes hosted meals, keynotes, breakout sessions, and the Innovation Exchange Expo. However, customers who purchase a full conference pass may purchase one (1) Customer Appreciation Party guest pass for Thursday evening at a rate of €200. Your guest must be 21+ years of age. You may register your guest when you register for the conference. In order to collect a guest badge for the Customer Appreciation Party, the guest must show a valid ID and check in with you at the main conference registration desk at the CCIB.

When will the session schedule (including Pre-Conference Training) be available?

Registration for Pre-Conference Training is available through general event registration. You will be able to register for specific sessions when the Session Scheduler goes live, which will be announced on the Workday Community and via emails from the Workday Rising Europe team in October.

Are there penalties for cancelling my event registration?

All registration cancellations must be received in writing. Email your cancellation notice to the Workday Rising Europe team.

  • If your cancellation email is received before 12:00 (GMT) on Monday, 31 October 2016, you will receive a refund, minus a €120 processing fee. The €120 processing fee applies to all Workday Rising Europe registration types.
  • If your cancellation email is received after 12:00 (GMT) on Monday, 31 October 2016, you will receive a refund, minus a flat cancellation fee of €600.
  • If you cancel any Pre-Conference Training, you will pay a €120 cancellation fee regardless of cancellation date.

Credits are not issued for a future year’s programme.

How do I make changes to my registration information?

You may log in to My Account at any time to make changes to your registration or hotel information.

If I cannot attend, may I substitute someone from my organisation?

If you are unable to attend the conference, you may transfer your registration to another person. Email the Workday Rising Europe team with the names, titles, and email addresses of both the original and substitute registrants by 12:00 (GMT) on 7 November 2016. Substitutions may not be granted after this date. Credits are not issued for a future year’s programme.

Hotel
Are there discounted hotel rates for Workday Rising Europe?

Workday has negotiated exceptional rates at our collection of official conference hotels—you'll receive big savings for this popular destination city. All hotel room rates include breakfast and VAT but exclude city tax, which is payable directly on departure (€2.50 per night). Discounted hotel rates for Workday Rising Europe attendees are guaranteed through 26 October 2016, based on hotel availability.

Will the Workday Rising Europe team make my hotel reservation?

No. The Workday Rising Europe team will not arrange hotel reservations for you. You can book your accommodations through the online tool when you register or by logging in to My Account after you have registered. We can only ensure room availability and rates for rooms booked through the online tool by 26 October. Please do not contact the hotel directly. If you have questions, email the Workday Rising Europe team.

Can I add a hotel reservation if I did not book during the event registration process?

Yes. To add a hotel reservation, go to My Account and select Book My Hotel.

How can I cancel or change my hotel reservation?

To make changes to your hotel reservation, go to My Account, then select Edit My Hotel Reservation. Hotel cancellations must be made before 17:00 (GMT) on Monday, 10 October, to avoid any cancellation charges. Cancellations made after 17:00 (GMT) on 10 October will result in a charge of one night’s rate (including VAT). Cancellations made after 17:00 (GMT) on Wednesday, 26 October, will be charged the full amount of the reservation (including VAT). Cancellation or change of hotel reservations is the sole responsibility of the attendee. Please do not contact the hotel directly. If you have questions, email the Workday Rising Europe team.

What is the last date the Workday Rising Europe negotiated hotel room rates are guaranteed?

Workday Rising Europe rates are guaranteed until 26 October, based on hotel availability. Hotels are offered on a real-time inventory system, so only available rooms will be listed during your booking process. After 26 October, rates and room availability may be determined by each hotel with current pricing shown at the time of booking.

What happens if I do not check in on my scheduled arrival date?

If you do not check in on your scheduled arrival date, the hotel will cancel your entire reservation and can opt not to reinstate your reservation, even if you arrive the next day. You will also be charged in full for the entire duration of the stay (including VAT), regardless of the hotel opting to reinstate your reservation or not. If you believe you will not be able to check in on your scheduled arrival date, email the Workday Rising Europe team or call +44(0)208 879 2407.

If I am not ready to register for Workday Rising Europe, but would like to book my hotel, may I do so?

In order to take advantage of the Workday Rising Europe discounted room rates, you must be fully registered for the conference.

Can I contact the hotel directly to make a hotel reservation or changes to my reservation?

All new reservations and changes must be made by logging in to My Account and selecting Book My Hotel or Edit My Hotel Reservation. Please do not contact the hotel directly. For questions related to your hotel registration, email the Workday Rising Europe team.

If I enter special requests during my hotel booking process, are the requests guaranteed?

Although the hotels will do their best to accommodate all special requests, they unfortunately are not guaranteed.

Onsite Logistics
Where is Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB)?

The CCIB is located at Pl. Willy Brandt, 11-14, 08019, Barcelona in Spain. It may also be known to some taxi drivers as The Forum.

Which airport should I fly into?

Major airlines provide air travel into Barcelona—El Prat (BCN) airport in Spain, which is 17 km from the CCIB. Taxi service is available for transportation to hotels and the CCIB. Cancellation or change of travel reservations is the sole responsibility of the attendee.

Will transportation be provided to and from the airport?

Transportation will not be provided to or from the airport. Taxi rates from the airport to the CCIB average €30–€40 before fees and tip.

Will transportation be provided to and from the CCIB from the conference hotels?

No, all hotels are within walking distance of the CCIB.

What is the typical weather in mid-November in Barcelona?

In mid-November, weather in Barcelona ranges from 9°C to 18°C. Bring layers for your comfort.

Is there a dress code for the conference?

The dress code for Workday Rising Europe is business casual. We do not host any formal business or social networking functions. While we do our best to control the temperature in session rooms, we recommend you bring a removable layer for your comfort.
